Saudi Arabia, a popular international destination for Pakistani travelers, has recently streamlined its tourist visa requirements. Applicants can now submit a bank statement showing a minimum monthly credit amount of USD 750 or its equivalent.
In 2023, the number of Pakistani tourists visiting Saudi Arabia increased by 43% compared to the previous year. Saudi Arabia aims to welcome 2.7 million Pakistani visitors in 2024. To facilitate this growth, Saudi Arabia has made it easier for Pakistani travelers to obtain visas through six Tasheer offices located in Peshawar, Quetta, Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Multan.
These Tasheer offices provide a convenient and efficient visa application process, including guidance, biometric enrollment, status tracking, and passport delivery. Travelers can schedule an appointment on the Tasheer website before their visit.
Additionally, Saudi Arabia has introduced a transit visa for travelers arriving via Saudia and Flynas, allowing them to explore Saudi Arabia for up to 96 hours. Visa on arrival is also available for travelers holding a valid and used UK, US, or Schengen visa.
Last year, Saudi Arabia introduced a one-year multiple-entry visa for Pakistani travelers. This visa is specifically for personal visits, such as attending weddings or visiting friends and family. Holders of this visa can enjoy multiple visits to Saudi Arabia within 12 months, providing ample opportunities to explore the country’s vibrant cities, cultural heritage, and natural beauty.
Pakistani travelers with a one-year multiple-entry visa can also perform Umrah, highlighting Saudi Arabia’s commitment to supporting spiritual journeys and cultural exchanges.
By simplifying the visa process, Saudi Arabia encourages more Pakistani travelers to visit for family and religious purposes and to explore the country’s diverse attractions. From the bustling cityscape of Riyadh, the cultural richness of Jeddah, the hidden treasures of the Red Sea, to the ancient wonders of AlUla, Saudi Arabia offers a year-round destination with various regions providing a cooler escape in summer and a busy calendar of events throughout winter.
